Is Railhook really free?
Yes. The cloud's Free plan includes every feature within its limits, and the self-hosted edition is the same software under the MIT licence, with no limits and no licence key.
What happens when I reach the monthly event limit?
The API refuses new events with a quota_exceeded error until the next month starts. Events it accepted before that are still delivered and retried.
Do I need a credit card?
No. Sign up with an email address or a Google account and send your first event.
Will there be paid plans?
Later we'll add paid plans with support and higher limits. The self-hosted edition stays complete and free.
What do I need to run it myself?
A server with Docker and 4 GB of RAM. One command installs Railhook with PostgreSQL, Kafka and Redis, and sets up HTTPS on your domain.
